TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
This is a very busy week in Biloxi! Many events are listed here and more will be added, including Sponsor Parties for
which the details are still in the works. Please read this schedule thoroughly and respond accordingly!
CLARIFICATION OF FISHING LICENSE
There is NO requirement to have a fishing license to fish the tournament on the two days of the event!
However, if you pre-fish and bring any fish into Biloxi you must have a Mississippi Fishing License. If you catch
bait prior to the event and pen it up, you MUST have a license. If you bring any specie into Biloxi for table fare, you must
have a license, and finally, if you go into the bays to catch mullet or any other bait, you must have a license!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Division 9 registration deadline is November 8th.
All other qualifiers must remit their registration IMMEDIATELY!

All on-site registration payments for T/W/T must be made in cash!
Pre-registration payments for T/W/T may be made with check.
DOCKAGE
When you arrive in Biloxi and there is no room at the Palace (Contenders) or Pointe Cadet Marine,
See Jack or Bobby. SKA has 40 docks set aside.
SLOT TOURNAMENT
FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16TH, 12 NOON, ISLE OF CAPRI CASINO RESORT, $100 BUY IN.
The slot tournament is set and limited to the first 50 people. This event is
designed for family, friends, and sponsors of the fisher people who will be
on the water fishing the first day of the event. The tournament is set up to
end before the teams come in to weigh at 3 o’clock. You can pre register for
this event by calling the SKA offices at 904-819-0360. Ask for Loreen.
TRAILER PARKING
If you are docking at the Palace Casino Resort, after you launch your boat you
must immediately take your trailer to the parking lot of the Palace Casino Resort’s
warehouse and executive offices. As you come out ot the launch area follow the signs
to the parking area. Two to Three minute drive. Please park your trailer in an orderly
fashion so each participant has easy access to his or her trailer.
If you are staying at the Isle of Capri, their trailer parking lots are located to the
south of the Palace Casino Resort in the two parking lots located behind where the old
hangar used to be. Again, coming out of the Isle of Capri, go thru the traffic light
and go to the first stop sign, turn right, go to the next street and turn left. Lots
are about a block down on right. Just follow the signs.

SPONSOR BOOTHS
At press time there were twelve sponsors taking booths. There are two trailers,
Raymarine and Fountain. Plus our area with all the prize boats. Please allow
enough time in your schedule to visit each exhibitor, look at their products and
thank them for their participation. There will also be new boats on the check in
dock on Tuesday thru Thursday for you to look at, talk with the representatives,
and go for test rides.
FUEL, ICE, AND RIBBONFISH
Danny and Lori have put in new gas pumps and will have a tanker truck that can pump also.
They are located at Point Cadet marine behind the Isle of Capri. The also have tackle and
ice. THEY WILL HAVE AN ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF HAND CAUGHT, FROZEN, RIBBONFISH. It is suggested
that you contact them and order yours now. Call them at 228-432-0454.
There is no fuel at the Palace however there will be an ice truck there for your convenience.
There is on water fuel at the Ocean Springs Marine Mart on the east side of the bay. Call them at 228-875-0072.
There is a Shell gas station located at the corner of Howard and Oak streets, west of the Palace.
Other stations can be found across the Ocean Springs – Biloxi Bridge or out to I 10.
BILOXI AND OCEAN SPRINGS BRIDGE
The bridge is scheduled to open November first with one lane of traffic each way. Those coming into
Biloxi from the east can now take Exit 50 to save time.
BILOXI SERVICE TRAILERS
All outboard brands will be represented with service. Mercury, Yamaha, Evinrude, and Suzuki and can
be found after Wednesday in the back parking lot of the Palace Casino Resort. Their phone numbers
are in your invitation package. PLEASE, DO NOT BRING YOUR BOAT TO THE NATIONALS NEEDING SERVICE!
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH
6:00PM – Blackjack Tournament at the Isle of Capri
- Registration opens at 5:30PM
- Tournament will begin at 6:00PM in Pit 3
- $100 buy-in
- Reserve your space early by calling SKA at 904-819-0360

Beginning Tuesday and running thru Thursday...FREE DEMO DAYS. Make sure to plan on talking to our sponsor
boat companies on the weigh in dock at the Palace Casino Resort. Each of them will have a model there for
you to get a test ride. This is your opportunity to shop and compare!
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH
5:00PM – Mandatory Number Pick-up Noon
- Kingfish City, Palace Casino Resort Parking Lot.
- Pick up your tournament number and Captain's bag.
- Picking up your number and bag is mandatory either Wednesday or Thursday.
- Thursday hours are 10:00AM until promptly at 5:30PM.
- You must be in line before by 5:15PM.
- The SKA boutique will be open for all your Championship souvenirs.
7:00PM – SKA Nationals Texas Hold-UM Tournament
- Poker Room at the Isle of Capri Casino Resort
- Registration opens at 5:30PM
- Entry limited to the first 100 people who register
- $150 buy-in

7-9:30PM – Isle of Capri/Budweiser Welcome Party
- Isle of Capri Resort, Lava Bar
9:00PM – Drawing for 600 Gallons of Fuel
- Free drawing for fuel for your boat.
- First Place – 300 gallons
- Second Place – 200 gallons
- Third Place – 100 gallons.
- Must be used during the tournament and obtained at Gorenflo's.
- Must be present to win. Guest will have 5 minutes to claim prize.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH
10AM-5:30PM – Mandatory Number Pick-up
- Kingfish City, Palace Casino Resort Parking Lot.
- It is imperative you pick up your Captain's bag and Tournament Number by 5:30PM.
THOSE STAYING AT THE ISLE OF CAPRI CAN WALK TO THE SITE OR TAKE THE CASINO
BUS. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR TRUCK TO THE PALACE AFTER 4:30PM! THANKS!
5-6:30PM – Welcome Party

Captains Meeting immediately follows Sponsor Awards
7:00PM – Annual Divisional Awards and Top Angler of the Year Awards
- First five places in the Open Class

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH
First Day of Fishing
- This is an aggregate tournament.
- You are allowed to weigh one fish per day.
- Remember, carefully release all the fish you do not intend to weigh.

SKA Rules and Code of Conduct Apply!
- This is a Captain's Choice tournament.
Class of 23 Boats
- Begin checking out at 6:30 AM in front of the Point Cadet Marina (Isle of Capri).
- Please line up from east to west, starting just west of the marina entrance, along the seawall.

When announced at 6:30 on VHF channel 68 proceed past the marina opening showing your number to the
SKA representative on the dock.
- You have ten minutes before we release the open class boats.

NOTE: After you show your number you must continue east or south. You cannot turn around and go west!
- After check out please go to VHF Channel 72, the official channel for the tournament.

If you are a Class of 23 boat and are going west then you must check out with the Open Class
boats at the small boat harbor.
Open Class Boats
- Line up from west to east in front of the Small Boat Harbor (east wall) no more than two abreast.
- At 6:40 we will begin check out.
- Show your number and we will respond on VHF Channel 72.

If you are going east or south please turn and idle to the south till you are out of the flow of
traffic, then proceed at idle speed till you are passed the boats checking out. Remember, Point Cadet
Marina is a NO WAKE AREA!
!!! PLEASE RESPECT ALL NO WAKE ZONES !!!
3:00PM – SCALES OPEN AT THE PALACE CASINO RESORT

Between 3-4:00PM, after going under the new Ocean Springs / Biloxi bridge, come in single file
to the weigh-in dock.
- After 4:00PM you must check in with the check-in boat.
- Remain in single file and come to the scale.

If you are staying in the Palace Marina (for Contender boats) drop off your team member
with your fish then proceed to dock your boat.
- If you are staying elsewhere, drop off the person to scale your fish and immediately leave the dock.
- You will again line up on the south side of the dock area and pick up your team members when you see them.
- Please have the fish you are going to weigh ready when you reach the dock.
- We will take your group picture, then it's off to the scale.

Remember that it will take us five hours to weigh all the fish expected to weigh. If everyone follows procedure
it will go very smooth. Scales close after last fish is weighed.

ALL BOATS MUST RETURN AND BE CHECKED IN WITH THE CHECK-IN BOAT BY 5:30 PM. STAY IN LINE AND KEEP YOUR VHF RADIOS ON CHANNEL
72 SO WE CAN COMMUNICATE WITH YOU. THOSE COMING IN AT 5:30 PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IT WILL BE VERY CLOSE TO DARK. WATCH YOUR
SPEED AND KEEP YOUR TEAM MEMBERS LOOKING FOR OTHER BOATS!!!

THE GULF OF MEXICO IS A VAST BODY OF WATER. PLEASE KEEP YOUR RADIO ON AND EYES OPEN FOR ANY FELLOW MEMBERS
WHO BREAK DOWN OR HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS. IF YOU HAVE NO FISH TO WEIGH AFTER THE FIRST DAY, PLEASE CONTACT THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
ON VHF 72 THAT YOU ARE SAFELY IN PORT.
- There will be scoreboards at the tournament site for your inspection!
Slot Tournament

SATURDAY NOVEMBER, 17TH
Second & Final Day of Fishing
- Everything is the same as on Friday.

No kingfish from the previous day are allowed to be kept on your boat unless
they have been cleaned and in freezer bags for transportation home.

We will inspect boats both days of the event and fish will be checked with a
Torry Meter for freshness.
- Boats caught with whole fish onboard will be disqualified from that day's competition.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH
8:00AM – Awards Ceremony
- Under the tournament tent at the Palace Casino Resort.
- Awards take just over an hour so please be on time so we all can get on the road.
